Boundary post opposite
the Happy Eater Cafe
Boundary post. Circa 1840. Cast iron T-shaped post with low pedimented top
and raised lettering: CODFORD ST PETER P / ASHTON GIFFORD T. on left arm and
UPTON LOVELL P on right arm. One of a series of cast iron mileposts and boundary
posts on turnpikes radiating from Warminster, made by Carson and Miller a
Warminster firm of iron founders.
