Four chest tombs. Late C18 and early C19. Chapman tomb is blue
lias, Pepler , Bartle and Biggs tombs are limestone. South west
of group to John Pepler, died 1807, has two octagonal fielded
panels, fielded pilasters with rosettes, shield-shaped end panels,
moulded cornice and flat top. Tomb in same style to north is to
William Bartle died 1772. To the east is large blue lias tomb to
Elizabeth Chapman, died 1828, with chamfered plinth, dentilled
cornice and weathered top. Adjacent to this is Biggs and Chapman
tomb with two panels, bas-relief carved urn to centre panels and
fluted pilasters; Samuel Biggs died 1834.
