Halfway House
GV II
Detached house. C17, altered mid C19. Rendered, tiled roof with coped verges,
gable end brick stacks. Baffle entry. Two-storey, 4-window east front. Planked
door in chamfered stone surround with string course carried over to left of
centre, 4-pane sash to left, three 4-pane sashes to right. Moulded string course
to first floor, two carved masks to string course over door. Rear has 2-light
cyma-mullioned casement and French windows to ground floor, within conservatory,
first floor has two 2-light mullioned casements. C19 wing attached to right
has 4-pane sashes and hipped pantiled roof. Interior not accessible at time
of survey (July 1986).
