Early C19, 3 storey red brick terrace, Nos 55-58 forming a unified composition.
Weavers' windows to 2nd floor. Stone cill bands ramped up between Nos 56 and 57
stone side piers to Nos 55 and 58. Flush stone surrounds to 1st floor windows
and to doorway. No 55 has 2 windows (late glazing sashes), the others one (glazing
bar sashes, except No 54). 2nd floor windows reduced in width except No 56 which
retains its 5-light casement. Shallow pitched double roman tile roof with 5 brick
ridge chimneys. Nos 55 and 57 have painted ground floors, No 54 painted entirely.
Modern shop fronts to Nos 54, 55 and 58; No 57 is also 2 shop.

Nos 51 to 60 (consec) 60A and 61B form a group with No 62 (Castle House) and
Court House. No 51 is of local interest,
