Late C17 or early C18, once Thiennes and then Tidbrell owned. Altered. 2 storeys,
and attic. Painted ashlar to front and Duke Street gable end plus a rubble 2 storey
and attic extension to Duke Street. Chamfered corner. 1 gable end window, 1 window
to chamfer and 2 to Church Street with glazing, mostly sashes on 1st floor, and
2 older windows, 2 light casements in extension to Duke Street. Large hipped gable
dormer to Church Street with late glazed sash; raking top 3 light dormer in extension.
Double roman tile roof. C20 shop fronts extending up Duke Street.

Nos 2 to 7 (consec) and 9 to 12 (consec) form a group with the Emmanuel Baptist
Church with its Gate and gatepiers.
