1854-55. Probably by C. E. Davis of Bath. 6 ft stone gatepiers with foiled gables
to capping and heavy octagonal finials with cornice of leaves etc. Moulded plinth.
For left hand pedestrian entrance, see Lodge. The right hand pedestrian entrance
has high arch capped by celtic cross and flanked by cross gabled weathered saddlestone
buttresses, 2 orders and a label. Main entrance in centre. Main gates with spear
head railings. The side gates with ornamental wrought iron and twisted dog rails.
Dwarf wall extends to north of lodge and to south of gates with moulded coping
and 2 wall piers with cross gabled weathered saddle stones on each side.
