Listing Text

Zion Chapel
ST 8558 5/66 29.12. 50.

Date stone 1810. 2 storey front. Bath stone on projecting plinth. String at
lst floor level. Coved cornice and parapet with plain coping. Hipped slate roof.
3 arched windows, 5 panes wide, with radiating and concentric glazing to heads,
on 1st floor. 2 similar on ground floor, and central 6 panel double doors in plain
opening in Doric porch of angle piers and pilasters with modified entablature and
parapet with moulded coping. Plain contemporary rails with 4 piers to street and
gates decorated with wrought iron infillbelow rails, North flank with 3 tall round
headed windows with glazing bar sashes.
