Formerly No 9 the Parade. Late C18/early C19, similar style to No 8. Painted
ashlar front, 3 storeys, 2 windows, divided horizontally by deep moulded cornice
and parapet with cope and 2nd and 1st floor cill strings; and vertically by corner
pier strips over which band and cornice breaks. Late glazed sash windows, single
hung on 2nd floor. Late C19/early C20 shop front. Doorway in extension to right
below moulded and ramped cope.

No 8 and premises occupied by K.J.Lester to south west .of-No 8 form an outstanding
group with Nos 65 to 68 (consec), Nos 70 to 73 (consec), railings and gates to
Nos 68 and 70, dwarf stone wall to No 72, No 64 (Lloyds Bank) and Ushers Brewery
Corner Block, fore Street.
