7/19 No 7 and No 9

Two attached houses. Early C18 to late C18. Rendered dressed
stone, 4 hipped gabled stone slate roof, ashlar stack to left. 3
storeys, 3 windows. No 7 has 6-panelled door in moulded architrave
and one 20-pane sash to left, No 9 has door with classical wooden
case and cornice and two 16-pane sashes to right and one to left.
Continuous string course at first floor, three 16-pane sashes.
Second floor has 5 casements. All front windows are insertions and
earlier blocked windows are visible behind rendering. Rear of No 7
has wing with 2 and 3-light cyma mullioned windows and C20
casements, mansard roof. Rear of No 9 has extensions of early C19
with C20 windows.
Interior not inspected. No 7 being renovated at time of survey
(July 1984).
