GV II


Farmhouse, now detached house. Late C17. Rubble stone, stone
slate roof with stone stacks. Two-storey, 4-window front. Central
blocked doorway with inserted leaded windows, 3-light recessed
hollow chamfered mullioned casement either side. Continuous string
course carried up over former doorway, first floor has 2-light
mullioned casement over door with 3-light either side. Right
return has C20 mullioned casement to ground floor, C20 first floor
casement and 2-light mullioned casement to attic. Rear has C20
porch, 3-light mullioned casement to cellar to left, 3-light
mullioned casement to ground floor, 2-light lighting stairs and 3-
light to first floor, rear gabled stack. Single-storey extension
attached to left return, probably early C20. Interior not
accessible at time of survey (May 1987). Formerly known as
Blackacre Farm.
