GV II


Detached house. C18, rebuilt mid C19. Limestone ashlar front,
rubble stone rear, Welsh slate mansard roof with coped verges and
gable end stone stacks. Two-storey, 3-window south west front.
Central classical stone porch with round-arched double doors with
inner 6-panelled door with fanlight, pilasters to open strapwork
parapet, flanking 2-storey canted bays with segmental-headed plate
glass sashes to ground floor with keystone and imposts. Sill band
to first floor; bays have 12-pane sashes, central 12-pane sash
above entrance. Moulded cornice to plain blocking course. Right
return has two single-light attic casements. Rear service wing
with pairs of 12-pane sashes to ground floor, 16-pane first floor
sashes. Rear of service wing has C19 and C20 casements and two
blocked mullioned windows, indicating earlier fabric incorporated
into C19 house.
