4/302 Gate piers and walls to
Turleigh Manor

GV II


Pedestrian gate, C18, ashlar rusticated piers with corniced caps
and urns, supporting spearhead iron gates with dog bars and top
rails curved down to centre. Each side, curving sections of ashlar
wall with scrolled abutment against gate piers. About 7m to left,
about 35m to right, terminated at a segmental-arched doorway,
beaded with keystone, adjoining No 246, q.v.
