1/158 Summerhouse in walled garden
of Hartham Park

Summerhouse, c1905 by H.A. Peto, ashlar with stone-tiled hipped
roof, Palladian style with modillion eaves cornice, Ionic-columned
open loggia to front, Venetian-arched with keystone and moulded
entablature over side openings continued across slightly raised
side piers. Two attached columns each side for former pergola.
Part of a now demolished water garden with rectangular pond in
front of summerhouse and long canal on axis originally spanned by a
low arched bridge, all removed for C20 house, Hartham Park.
