5/190 No 84 (Corsham Post Office)

House, C17 refronted in mid C18, ashlar and rubble stone with stone
tiled valley roof, hipped to front. Two rear chimney gables.
Three-storey, 4-window ashlar front with raised plinth, band and
second floor sill-course. Coved eaves cornice. Raised angle
strips. Twelve-pane sashes throughout in raised bead moulded
surrounds, but ground floor left pair replaced by C20 neo-Georgian
shop front with glazed door, 21-pane window and urns over fascia.
South side wall is colour-washed rubble stone with flush quoins to
right, second and first floor recessed ovolo-moulded 3-light
windows with hoodmoulds. Rear right gable has first floor 2-light
recessed hollow moulded window with hoodmould and leaded lights.
