Inn, late C17 altered in C18, rubble stone with Bridgwater tile
roof, south end wall stack and one rear wall stack. Two storeys,
3-window range. Upper recessed ovolo-moulded mullion windows with
hoodmoulds, two 3-lights and one 2-light. Ground floor door in C18
raised bead-moulded surround with pediment on consoles and pair of
12-pane sashes in raised bead-moulded surrounds each side.
Parallel rear range with end stacks, 2 storeys with right side set
back and one later C18 upper 3-light flush cyma-moulded window,
left side, 2-window range of earlier C18 recessed cyma-moulded 2-
light windows, hoodmoulds to upper windows and continuous hoodmould
over lower windows. Rubble stone 2-storey outbuilding with upper
door to left. A lean-to connects main range to rear stable
building, left side early C19 with 2 upper 16-pane sashes, right
side C18 with ashlar piers to 3 lower garages and upper 2-light and
3-light flush cyma-moulded windows. Door to left with outside
steps up.
Interior of inn has small Tudor-arched moulded stone south
fireplace and early C18 panelled window seat to one front window.
