Lanes End Farmhouse
GV II

Farmhouse, probably C17 extended and remodelled in early C19.
Rubble stone with stone-tiled roof, 2 ridge stacks and east end
stack. 'L'-plan, 2 storeys and attic. Front range has evidence of
several builds in stonework and of roof being raised. Symmetrical
early C19 arrangement of 2 first floor 12-pane windows and 2 large
ground floor 6-pane sashes flanking central door in Tudor-arched
frame set in Regency doorcase with reeded pilasters and shallow
cornice. Range to right, probably C18, dairy and cheese-room
addition has one upper casement with flush voussoirs and 2 small
openings at ground level with similar voussoirs.
