3/363 Pond Close Farmhouse

Farmhouse, C17, rubble stone with stone-tiled roofs, west end and
ridge stacks. Two and a half storeys. Recessed ovolo-moulded
mullion windows with hoodmoulds. South front has dormer gable each
side, two 2-light attic windows, 3 first floor 3-light windows,
outer windows with relieving arches, and ground floor 4-light with
king-mullion and relieving arch, 2-light, door in ashlar shallow
porch with hood and C19 sixteen-pane sash with dripstone, relieving
arch of original 4-light surviving above. At west end, outbuilding
with door on south side, reset 2-light window and hoodmould to
north. North side of main range has fine central curved stair
tower with stone-tiled roof reaching into blank gable. To left,
ground floor single-light with hood interrupted by stair tower and
first floor left 3-light with hoodmould. To right, C20 door and
dormer gable to right with 2-light attic window and 3-light to
first floor, both with hoodmoulds. House is extended to east with
'T'-plan range, 2-storey with one storey and attic wing running
south. South end stack and west side door and 3-light mullion
window with hoodmould. Chamfered and stopped beams in main range,
west end timber-lintel fireplace.
