4/38 No 1 (Bridge House)

House, early C18 on earlier core, rubble stone with Bridgwater tile
roof, large south end outside stack and north end stack. Two
storeys and attic. East front has 2 dormers and irregularly spaced
windows. First floor has three 2-light cavetto-moulded recessed
mullion windows, the right window interrupting a stone dripcourse
or shelf. Ground floor off-centre plank door in oak frame with
single casement and casement pair to right. Lean-to on north end
wall. South end wall has similar 2-light mullion window to main
floors and attic. An oval light to left of stack. Rear, to road,
has 5-window range of similar 2-light windows, first floor has 4
windows and one blocked window, ground floor has 3 mullion windows
to right and 2 casement pairs to left. Interior not inspected.
