Seven chest tombs, C18 to early C19, ashlar. From west:
a) Joyce memorial: early to mid C18, two shield plaques each side
with foliate piers to centre and angles. Moulded base,
cornice and pulvinated frieze breaks forward over piers.
b) Jane Tayler memorial, lm east: later C18 with lyre ends and
slab sides. Two oval north side plaques with drapery drop
between, 2 rococo framed south side plaques. Moulded base,
cornice and slate capstone with top inscription to J. Tayler
d 1754.
c) Edwards memorial, 2m north-east of Tayler: late C18 with
fluted baluster angles, moulded base and cornice, fluted frieze
and slab sides. North side inscription to James Edwards.
d) Robert Tayler memorial, lm south-west of Edwards: later C18
with baluster corners, north side projected centre with oval
egg-and-dart-bordered plaque and cherub heads in spandrels and
drapery drop each side. Fielded centre panel on south side.
Moulded base and cornice, pulvinated frieze broken forward at
centre.
e) Richard Joyce memorial 2m south-east of J. Tayler: early C19
with 2 incised plaques each side, centre reversed torch and
fluted angles. Moulded base and cornice. South side
inscription to R. Joyce d 1828.
f) Hooper memorial lm south-east of R. Tayler: early C19
unusually ornate. Centre north plaque in oak-leaf border
flanked by arched recesses with low-relief smoking urn on
tripod. Similar south side, but floral border and urn under
willow spray. South side inscription to Mary Ann Hooper d 1809.
g) Webb memorial lm north of Hooper: mid to later C18 with fluted
baluster framing to 2 octagonal north side plaques. Centre
floral drop. Cherub heads in spandrels. Moulded base, cornice
and fluted frieze broken forward at centre and angles. One
north inscription to Sarah Webb d 1780.
