II

Pair of cottages, now house, late C18, rubble stone with slate
roof, coped gables and end stacks. Two-storey, double-fronted
main range with matching 2-storey, one-window sections each end,
under lower-pitched roofs. Main range has two 2-light cyma-
moulded flush mullion windows each floor, dripmoulds to lower
windows and off-centre door with hood on brackets, originally
paired doors under single hood, but adjoining door blocked and hood
cut back. End sections have a 4-pane window each floor, dripstone
over lower windows.
Cottage overlooks site of Wilts and Berks Canal Wharf.
