2/51 Manor Farm Cottages

II


Two cottages. Late C17 with C20 alterations and additions.
Coursed rubble with flush rusticated dressed stone quoins, stone
dressings and stone slate roof with 2 brick stacks. Two-storey
and attic, 4-window west front. Original 3-light chamfered
mullions survive in outer bays of both floors to left and the inner
ground floor bay to right; single C17 light above central door.
Remaining windows are C20 small pane casements. Central doorway
with moulded architrave and deep-set porch with part-glazed door;
further plank door with lean-to stone slate porch to right.
Continuous string course with flush relieving arches over ground
floor windows, 4 hipped dormers with 2-light casements. Lean-to
C20 extension to right.
