monuments in the churchyard,
4m south-east of chancel,
Church of St Leonard

GV II


Three chest tombs. Late C18. Limestone. Lettered last to west
and north to south.
a) Susannah Telling. Angle pilasters and single panels to sides
with incised Roman and italic lettering. Moulded base and cyma
recta moulded slab.
b) Mary Parker, 1785. Angle pilasters and single panels to
sides, that to south with shallow relief putti and vine
tendrils to borders; incised Roman lettering. Base sunk, cyma
recta moulded slab.
c) Telling family. Angle pilasters and single panels to sides,
that to south with shallow relief putti and vine tendrils to
borders; incised Roman lettering to Henry and William Telling.
Moulded base and cyma recta moulded slab.
