SUTTON BENGER DRAYCOT CERNE

8/261 Lake Farmhouse

Farmhouse, C17 origins and C18, rubble stone with stone slate
roofs, east end stack, ridge stack, and north stack to rear wing.
Two storeys and attic, L-plan. Long irregular south front with
eaves gable to left of ridge stack. Gable has casement pair with
brick jambs, below, a 2-light beaded mullion window to first floor
and chamfered flush surround of former door, now window, with
dripstone over. To right, a straight joint, first floor casement
pair and ground floor beaded 3-light mullion window. Similar 2-
light to first floor of east end wall. Range to left of gable has
brick-sided casements, two triple casements to first floor, one
casement pair and two doors to ground floor. One hipped dormer,
and half-hipped west gable. Ground floor left is partly obscured
by lean-to addition. North east rear wing has east side beaded
mullion windows, two 2-light above, door and 3-light below.
