5/53 Lock Farmhouse
Farmhouse, early C19, red brick with ashlar dressings, extended to
left in ashlar. Stone slate roof and end stacks. Two storeys,
three window range of 16-pane sashes in plain slightly raised
surrounds. Centre door in raised moulded surround with hood on
brackets. Left bay is ashlar, centre and right red brick with
flush quoins at right end. Single storey outbuilding attached to
right end. House adjoins a former Lock of the disused Wilts and
Berks Canal.
