Pair of Bowood estate cottages, early C19, rubble stone with
thatched half-hipped roof and central cluster of four diagonal
ashlar stacks. 1 1/2 storeys, flush quoins, stone mullion windows.
South front has central pair of eyebrows over first floor 2-light
windows and, to right, a ground floor 3-light with hoodmould and a
cambered-head door with thatched gabled hood. Left was in mirror
image but a canted bay replaces window and door has stone slates to
gabled hood. Left end wall has two-light window and hoodmould each
floor. Rear has two first floor 2-light windows under eyebrows and
ground floor additions. Similar in style to Sandy Lane estate
cottages (Calne Without C.P.).
