8/63 Thatch Cottage
Pair of cottages, now one house, late C17 or early C18, painted
rubble stone with thatched roof and end stacks. 1 1/2 storeys.
Formerly in mirror image with ground floor door to each cottage
flanked by casement pair each side and with first floor casement
pair under eyebrow above each outer window. Door of each cottage
is replaced by casement pair, and door replaces left window of
right cottage. C20 additions each end.
Interior: each cottage has end fireplace and had winding stair
against party wall, one stair removed. Four-bay roof with tie-beam
and collar trusses.
