8/65 Stanley Mill
Mill house, mid C19 incorporating earlier work, ashlar, in small
blocks, and ironstone rubble, with slate roof, coped gables, ashlar
ridge stack and end stacks. Two storeys, four-window range, the
bay to right in rubble stone possibly earlier but refenestrated to
match the symmetrical ashlar range to left. Stone mullion windows
with small-paned casements. Range to left has 2-light windows each
side, and single light to first floor centre over 6-panel door in
gabled ashlar porch. Rubble stone section to right has similar 2-
light window each floor. North west rear wing, extended in C20.
Rear of main range has two cambered-head casement pairs each floor
and original leaded lights.
