10/116 The Manor House
GV II
House, now two, mid C19 possibly on earlier core, painted render
over chalk rubble with slate eaves roof. Two storeys and attic,
L-plan. Long painted stone mullion windows with small-parted
lights. Three-window front has ashlar centre ridge stack, 3-light
windows each side, single light with transom to centre over door in
plain raised ashlar surround. Large slate-roofed C20 glazed
verandah against ground floor. West end canted ashlar bay, east
end, 3-light to main floors and casement pair to attic. Lower
north east wing with ashlar ridge stack and brick stack. Four
window range, 2-light smaller upper windows, 3-light long ground
floor windows and door in projecting glazed porch. Later painted
brick north-west rear wing.
