and railing

House, earlier C19, probably on earlier core, ashlar fronted, in
small blocks, with slate hipped roof and red brick stacks. Two
storeys, three-window range of 16-pane sashes and centre 6-panel
door with fanlight in heavy ashlar Roman Doric porch with two
columns and pilaster responds. Raised plinth. Two-window rubble
stone west end wall on high red brick basement floor. Lower
parallel rear wing with hipped roof and west end partly rubble
partly red brick. Sixteen-pane sash each floor. Attached to south
west angle of house is about 40m length of low iron railings on
coped red brick retaining wall. Gate with two ashlar corniced
piers.
