House, c1630 and 1730. Brick and stone, with stone slate roof.
Front block of 3 bays parallel to street, central wide stair hall
with flanking reception rooms, rear link to earlier parallel rear
block, stone, stone tiled roof. Elevation of front block Flemish
bond brick, 2-storey, 7 bays, centre 3 bays broken forward and with
plain brick pediment. Central door case with broken pediment
containing urn, on console brackets. 6-panel door. 12-pane wood
sashes with stone panelled entablature and cornice. Recessed
panels in contrasting brick in parapet.
Internally, good open well stair in hall, panelled dado. Reception
rooms fully panelled, with panelled shutters to windows. C20
accretions at rear, quoin of attached building inscribed
LEVAVI/OCULOS.
