4/97 Barn on roadside, south-west of
Manor House


GV II

Manor Barn, C16, timber studded on raised stone sill, with early
C20 brick infilling replacing weatherboarding. Thatched roof. 6
bays, with l-bay midstrey at rear, now divided off, and 1½-bay
extension to south having lean-to thatched hip. Pair of doors
independently framed in third bay from left. Later 3-light timber
windows with leaded glazing. Structural timbers reused. Roof:
collar trusses with raking struts. 2 purlins and windbraces.
Straight angle braces to tie beams.
