House, c1690 for Dr. Harding, diaper brick with stone quoins and
window dressings and stone plinth. Stone slate roof and dormers.
2 storey and attic and cellar. L-plan with door in re-entrant
angle to original stair hall. Late C18 rubble stone extension to
wing. 6-panelled door within stone architrave over 2 steps. Flat
canopy on consoles. Moulded stone string course. 12-pane sashes
with simple stone architraves and gauged brick arches with stone
keys. Hollow moulded eaves. Interior altered, good stair of 3
storeys, 2 turned balusters to each tread. Panelling partition by
stair, Stone moulded fireplaces, some room panelling. Good later
C20 extensions as lobby to studios.
