2/19 Railway bridge at junction with
road to Middlehill


Road bridge over railway, c1840 by I. K. Brunel for Great Western
Railway. Ashlar skew-arched bridge with roll-moulded elliptical
arch and carved keystone. Moulded cornice over and parapet with
ridge coping. Ashlar piers each side, aligned with track and
raking ashlar-faced abutments. Cornice carried around piers.
