Farmhouse, now two houses, late C17 and early C18, much rebuilt
c1975. Rubble stone with stone tiled roofs. One-and-a-half and
two storeys. Main south front has east end stack and 2 storey
projecting gable at right side with two renewed 12-pane sashes in
architrave surrounds to ground floor and 4-light stone-mullion
window with hoodmould above. Chamfered mullions and central king
mullion. Main range to left has 3 rebuilt dormer gables with C20
stone-mullion windows over original ground floor 3-light and 2-
light chamfered-mullion windows in 2 bays left of entrance and over
an early C19 tripartite sash in bay to right of entrance. C18
moulded stone flush doorcase set in fragmentary Tudor arched
opening. Fine c1700 stone porch with stone tiled roof and moulded
pedimental gable with ball finials. Bolection moulded opening,
side windows each with 3 turned stone balusters as mullions and
stone seat. Gable has incised lozenge and triangle decoration and
date 1778. At left end of front range, a projecting chimney gable
with ashlar stack, and to left, a very small 2-light pointed attic
window. C20 stone tiled addition with doorway to Home Place at
left end. Rear and rear wing largely rebuilt c1975. House was
formerly rough rendered and had ridge stack to left of porch.
