4/80 Nos. 1 and 2 The Barton

GV II

House, now pair of cottages, early C18. Rubble stone, rough
rendered to rear wing, stone tiled roofs. Coped east gable with
end wall stack and north end wall stack to rear wing. 'L'-plan, 2
storeys. 2 window range south front, with door between 2 cyma-
moulded mullioned windows of 3-lights, left side apparently
renewed. Upper casement windows in plain stone surrounds, single
casement to left, pair in larger opening to right. Rear wing has
3-light hollow moulded mullion window and hood to both floors on
east side and 2 renewed single lights. North end wall has hollow
moulded upper single light and renewed ground floor 2-light window.
In rear wing, 2 chamfered and stopped beams.
