GV II*

House, early C16, rubble stone and timber frame with stone tile
roof and south end stack. 2 storey 2 window range. Heavy timber
framed jettied first floor with 4 symmetrical curved tension
braces, moulded bressumer and hollow moulded wallplate. Two 2-
light wooden leaded windows, one casement pair, one with sash.
Ground floor door, small wood leaded sash and early C18 recessed
cyma-moulded 2-light stone mullion window with leaded lights.
Interior: Heavy timbers and south side fine moulded Tudor-arched
stone fireplace with painted Royal arms over, probably of Henry
VIII. (E. Cruse: Castle Combe, 1965 P. 86-87).
