GV II

House, earlier to mid C19 on older core. Rubble stone with stone
tiled roofs, coped gables with saddlestones and finials and ashlar
ridge stack. 2 storey, Elizabethan/Jacobean style. South front
with main gable to right, 3-light first floor window with hoodmould
over 3-light ground floor mullion and transom window, both ovolo-
moulded. To left, dormer gable with 2-light mullion winow and
hoodmould over 2-light mullion and transom window with hoodmould,
now cut down to form a door, both cyma-moulded. West end wall has
lean-to with 2-light ovolo-moulded window above. East side to road
has early Cl9 ashlar lean-to porch with corner carried up as finial
and Tudor arched doorway. Within, a plastered fleur-de-lys and
1617 datestone over door.
