4/254 Garden wall and gates to walled
garden to rear of Lucknam Park

GV II

Garden wall and gates, C18 and early C19, rubble stone with ashlar
coping. Wall is curved in plan to east, enclosing walled garden
with 2 central ashlar fielded gatepiers with corniced caps,
probably C18 and C20 urns above. C20 iron gates. At south side,
narrow early C19 gateway with moulded coping carried up to ogee
pointed head and finial. Early C19 iron gate and screen above.
Wall continues to enclose kitchen garden behind with attached C19
greenhouses on north side and outbuildings against west wall.
South side of kitchen garden is rear of Stable range (q.v.).
