Memorial column, dated 1893, possibly by W.J. Willcox, to R.
Walmsley of Lucknam Park. Bath stone. Large stone step inscribed
F. Sheppard, Colerne, carrying high pedestal with moulded base and
cornice, inscription panels, arms and monogram of R. Walmsley.
Column of Jacobean-type Roman doric with exaggerated entasis and
square cap with pendant drops to corners. Stone sundial above,
dated 1893. Spearhead iron railings on stone kerb surround
triangular green, broken on east side for bus shelter. Gatepost on
south side marked Saunders, Batheaston.
