GV II

Pair of cottages, C16 or early C17, rubble stone with timber-framed
gable to cross-wing and stone tiled roof with west end ashlar
stack. One and a half storeys. 3-window main range, 2-window
range to No 1, one to No 3. Centre breaks forward slightly. 3
dormer gables, coped with saddlestones and ovolo-moulded 2-light
windows, centre dormer gable apparently new 1964. Ground floor 3-
light ovolo-moulded window with hoodmould and door in chamfered
doorcase with hood on scrolled brackets, and single light to No 1,
3-light ovolo-moulded window with hoodmould to No 3. West end wall
has ovolo-moulded 2-light window with hood to each floor.
Crosswing at east end has door and small stone 2-light window in
west side angle, jettied roughcast south gable end over stone
ground floor, timber casements. To rear of No 1, a C18 one and a
half storey, 2-window ashlar fronted wing with west front of 2
dormer gables and 3-light cyma-moulded mullion windows with
hoodmoulds to each floor.
