II
House, C17 with late C19 or C20 south wing, rubble stone, some
ashlar and coursed small ashlar blocks to south wing. Stone tiled
roof to centre, slate to wings. 2-storeys, courtyard plan open to
west. Central range has north end stack and coped south gable with
saddlestone. 2-window range with coped dormer gable and 2-light
recessed ovolo-moulded window with hoodmould and small 9-pane
window under eaves, ground floor C18 2-light cyma-moulded flush
mullion window with dripstone and similar late C19 window to right.
Rear chimney gable and south east corner stack. North end wall has
2-light cyma-moulded window with dripstone to each floor. North
range, at right angles, probably C17, refronted ashlar west gable
end, coped gables and end wall stacks. West front has 2 string
courses and 2-window range of C18 2-light cyma-moulded flush
mullion windows. South side has cyma-moulded flush doorcase and 2-
light cyma-moulded window with dripstone. North side has 2-light
ovolo-moulded mullion window and hoodmould under eaves dormer.
South range with short link south of central range apparently late
C19, said to date from 1930s, with coped gables and 2 south wall
stacks. Mullion windows with hoodmoulds, 3-light to north side and
4-light to each floor of west gable end.
Interior: North wing has large timber lintel fireplace at east end
and early C18 stair with square newels, moulded caps and slat
balusters.
