2/406 Stable Cottage and Barn attached


Barn with cottage incorporated, early C19, rubble stone with low-
pitched slate roof, hipped at gables. Unusual H-plan with broad
segmental arches over timber lintels to centre section. Centre
section north side is ashlar-faced. East wing is 5-bay barn with
single window in flush stone surround each side of centre section.
Inner elliptical archways from centre to both wings. West wing is
divided, with south end barn and north end 2-storey cottage: west
side 2 upper casements and 3 to ground floor, north end lean-to and
east side door.
