Row of 4 almshouse cottages, c1830-40, squared rubble stone and
slate low pitched roofs with coped gables, 2 ashlar ridge stacks
and south end stack. Tudor style stone mullion windows with
hoodmoulds and mullioned canted bays. 2 storeys. 3 gable fronts
each with 2-light upper window and ground floor canted bay.
Connecting range to left of centre has upper 2-light window and
ground floor 2 C20 doors in Tudor-arched surrounds flanking 2-light
window, all with hoodmoulds. Range to right has upper 2-light and
'single light over 2-light and Tudor-arched doorway with plank door,
all with hoodmoulds. 'North end wall has upper 2-light window and
ground floor Tudor arched doorway with single light to right, all
with hoodmoulds. 3 rear gables. Originally all windows with small-
paned casements.
