3/496 Grove Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse, late C18, rubble stone with stone tiled mansard roof and
end walls stacks. 2 storeys and attic. One C20 hipped dormer to
front, 3 to rear. Flush quoins and raised band. 3-window range of
bead-moulded mullion windows, 2-light to first floor centre, 3-
light to each side, ground floor windows renewed C20 and
lengthened. Central bead-moulded doorcase with hood on brackets
and C20 door. 2 gabled wings to rear and extension to left, rebuilt
or remodelled in C20. Stone dated 1786,found in remodelling,reset
in rear wing.
