5/239 Wharf Farmhouse


Agent's house for the Thames and Severn Canal Company, now
farmhouse. 1789. Limestone rubble, roughcast to facade. C20
interlocking tile roof. Central gabled block of 2 storeys and
attic, extended and set back both sides by 1 bay 2 storeys with
square parapet, a continuation of main roof. Lean-to to rear with
hipped roof. Through hall in main building. Elevation has raised
quoins to main block and wings, and raised surrounds to openings.
Central gabled porch, C19. Simple pediment, the lower string of
which is cut by oval window to attic. C20 replacement windows.
Wings have boarded doors to both floors, and formerly containing
