SU 09 SE THE LEIGH -

4/221 Glebe Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C18. Coursed limestone rubble, stone slate roof.
Two-storeys and attics. Three bays. Central glazed door under
bracketed canopied porch replacing slightly asymmetrical blocked
earlier door. Ashlar segmental arches over 3-light timber casement
windows to ground floor, 2-light C20 windows to first floor. Two
hipped dormers. Blocked gable windows. Rear wing central to
block, 2-storey 2 bays with further extension for kitchen. House
is probably a rebuild of c.1789 (date on barn) of earlier structure
on site.
