SU 19 NW MARSTON MEYSEY THE STREET

17.1.55 Manor House. The Street)

GV II

Farmhouse. 1689 and C18. Limestone rubble, stone slate roof. 3
storeys, central stair hall and flanking reception rooms,
extended to left as wing, much remodelled in C20. Further hipped
extension to left of wing. C18 gabled porch with eared architrave.
Stone sundial over. 3-light ovolo stone-mullioned windows with
label moulds, 2-light to second floor gables over bays 1 and 3.
Wing also partly C17 with lean-to secondary entrance on front of
later date and extended to rear. Gable stacks to main block with
diagonal shafts, Mounting block against wing.
Interior: C18 stair and stone fireplaces to drawing and dining
rooms. Deep chamfered cross beams in front room of wing.
