3/25 Ruckley Cottages
II

Originally 3 Cottages, now 2. C17 with early C19 addition to
right-hand. Coursed rubble with wooden lintels, stone slate roofs
and 4 brick stacks on stone bases. Set at right-angles to the
road. South front with C17 section of 2 storeys to left-hand:
scattered 2 and 3-light casement fenestration, central plank door
and right-hand gable through eaves line with small bull's-eye
opening to loft. C19 addition of 2 storeys with similar casement
fenestration.
Interior. C17 section has chamfered beam to ground floor left-hand
room, a staircase niche and inglenook fireplace on west wall.
Further chamfered beam in right-hand room and circular newel
staircase.
