Detached house. C18 with later addition. Colourwashed render with
gabled stone slate roof and 2 rendered stacks. Two-storey, 3-
window west front with later 2-storey, 1-window right-hand
extension. Windows are 2-light, 3-pane casements, those to ground
floor of early range with keystones. Part glazed C20 door with
flat hood off-set to right. Stone plaque to upper centre with
bunches of grapes and JT; date eroded. The cottage occupies a
visually important site at the entrance to the village.
