5410 CASTLE EATON THE STREET

Circa 1820s front to very much older building. Two and a half storeys. Coursed
and dressed rubble with ashlar dressings and stone tile roof with coped verges.
Gable end brick chimneys with chamfered capping to plinths. Central dormer with
scalloped bargeboard. Three windows, glazing bar sashes, balconettes to first
floor. Central 6 panel door with rectangular overlights. Box-like wrought-iron
porch (possibly C20). Rear older, 1 1/2 storey extension. Little shed in wall
to west close to Castle East farm buildings, stone tiled roof.
Interior retains features of early C17 date and traces of subsequent alterations.
